Both Horseshoe Falls and the Bridal Falls are part of what is known as Niagara Falls, although, the first on the Canadian border and the latter being on the American border, both are absolutely stunning and totally worth seeing both.
. From experience, I'd highly recommend seeing both falls from the Canadian side, as they have the better advantage point of view (in my opinion); whether it's just an enjoyable stroll through the park, having a bird's eye view from the Skylon Tower on either the observational deck or better yet, having dinner in the revolving restaurant at the top the views are amazing and a must see in person. But don't worry if you don't have a passport to travel into Canada to Skylon Tower in order to see both, The Maid of the Mist is a boat tour that can be taken from either country and allows you great up-close views to the falls. You can recognize at a quick glance which side the two different boats have left from by the different colored ponchos worn by those on it; if you embarked from the Canadian side a red poncho is worn, while if you embarked from the American side a blue poncho is worn. . Last, but certainly not least exciting, and also something else I'd recommend is donning one of those yellow ponchos (picture featured in the comments) and going to The Cave of Winds ; an awesome experience, especially on the Hurricane Deck- there, you can feel the force of the falls up close, with winds reaching speeds of up to 68 mph, which is comparable to a tropical storm.SO, whatever you choose to do, I hope you take a trip to see both the Bridal and Horseshoe Falls, part of the magnificent Niagara Falls! . #mainephotographer #Canada #America #BridalFalls #NiagaraFalls #horseshoefalls #maidofthemist #caveofthewinds #skylontower #skylontowerrestaurant #skylontowerobservationaldeck #familyvacation #vacationdestination Amanda GriffinHi, I'm the fun-loving photographer behind Simply Maine Photography, check out any of my blog posts, and feel free to share! |
